Third Retail and Residential Project Proposed outside Fenway Park

The desolate shadows between Park Drive and Yawkey Way may soon see some sunlight. Steve Samuels and Boston city officials disclosed a plan for Samuels’ third major project in the area, a retail and residential complex to be aided by a new street parallel to Yawkey Way. The proposed development would include ground-floor shops, a supermarket and residential units. Samuels has not yet proposed an exact height for the building, but he pledged to keep it within scale of the neighborhood. Yesterday, Samuels celebrated the grand opening of 1330 Boylston, a $140m project that includes 215 residential rental units, shops and a sports club. Samuels also developed the Trilogy Building on the corner of Brookline Avenue and Boylston Street.
