A Hawaii couple is offering a $100,000 bounty to whomever brings them a full-price buyer, but real estate practitioners aren’t eligible.
David Bangert and Linda Harris of Kailua listed their properties five months ago with no luck. One of the properties is 2,500-square-foot, four-bedroom home on a 35,000-square-foot ocean-front lot in the Windward Oahu community of Hauula, listed for $1.7 million. The second property is a 38-acre undeveloped parcel near the ocean in the Keau area of the Big Island for $1.2 million.
Harris says the offer is legal under Hawaii law as long as the person who collects the fee isn’t a real estate professional.
Potential claimants must first register with Harris by contacting her at email@example.com.
