One valuable thing homeowners can count on this year is that their houses stand to appreciate, or gain value.

According to Realtor Magazine, Midwestern states are seeing the largest push forward because of rising farm prices. So what does that mean for Western Massachusetts farms? Well, if they follow the trajectory of the rest of the state, they too stand to gain significant amounts of appreciation. Metro Boston is also seeing one of the best financial recoveries in market gains from the past few years. The month of November was the latest month to report gains during the streak that began earlier this year.

When one part of the market goes up, many others will follow. More qualifying buyers buy up idling supply. The supply of available homes dwindle, so the prices come up do to scarcity. Home values shortly follow if the trend remains steady.

If you’re thinking about buying a home, now is the perfect time to start. Kick off your new year with the ultimate resolution: home ownership!

If you’re looking for realtors to help you with that and more, please contact us! We can help buy your home with ease.

This continues the previous emergency status they were placed in back at the beginning of 2009. If it sounds scary, its only because emergency status allows more money to be borrowed for the mortgage, allowing homeowners access to extra money. Intimidating as the name may be, its certainly a good thing for first time home buyers and potential buyers looking to upgrade.

This is only applicable to FHA-secured loans. The loan limits are here to stay until the end of 2013, when they will once again undergo evaluation. Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae mortgages will stay at the previous level of 115% compared to the 125% level of other FHA-secured loans. The amount differs as to the amount of families in the home. In other good news, interests rates are still holding low, which means less out expense for homeowners.

The good news continues, more optimism is spreading among real estate experts that will show the the new year some good cheer. According to press from the National Association of Realtors, the news is good for homes in 2012.

According to the conference, pent-up demand and population growth will encourage buyers much more than the past year. Early figures expect the demand to increase by 4-to-5%. Experts also hold out for an uptick in the nation’s GDP-a healthy sign of growth, and a decline in employment. They also estimated that the historic mortgage rates would increase once more when more loans are sought. Then, once homes are sold, both property values and prices will trend upward.

Some suggested to provide military families with incentives to foreclosed homes, a move that could help many neighborhoods and veterans.

For a third month in a row, the Boston area has seen a double-digit increase from the same time last year. Sales for homes and lofts increased 17% from September 2010. This is a continuation of the summer trend of an upward spike of sales.

Loft sales increased 10% when compared to September of last year. Since the start of 2011, prices have moved slightly up, with single-family homes increasing 2.2% and loft prices inching towards 4.6% price increase. These are healthy indicators that demand is starting to rise for homes and lofts.

Overall, sales are up 15% from last year’s figures. Steady home prices, record low mortgage rates, and employment gains are said to be the factors behind the upward trend. Analysts say the trend may stick around for the rest of the year.

If you’re interested in buying a home or loft, please contact us at our website. We look forward to hearing from you.

The news is good after the dry spell that fell after the recession . For the third month in a row, more single-family homes are selling throughout the state. The figures are 7% ahead of what they were the same month last, and an overall 10% hike in the third quarter.

Prices are still low in comparison to last years. Only a .5% increase was found between the home sales. The report also found that while loft sales decreased a tad, their values have increased 4-6%.

According to “The Boston Courant,” our local GDP increased last fiscal year by 4.8%. Although it may not sound like much, that percent value made Boston the nation’s leading metro area over New York and Los Angeles. Our total GDP is estimated to be about $313.7 Billion, the ninth-largest among other large metropolitan areas. Our results are from the August 2010-August 2011 time frame, so many results have yet to be calculated. Information regard city-specific numbers will take about another year to factor.

We do know that the Boston area created another 4, 347 jobs and have reduced the unemployment rate a little over 1%. The residents of the Commonwealth aren’t doing so badly either, with the per capita rank of 13th in the nation. Our New England region was second only behind the Mid-Atlantic in terms of GDP growth over the same period.

That’s what a recent blog post on the Wall Street Journal says, and adds that without a stronger focus on the housing sector, the United States may not move out of the recession so easily. The piece acknowledges the Fed’s recent rate change will now directly affect potential home owners, but it calls for even further action on mortgages.

The post also mentions Warren Buffet’s and Ben Bernanke’s comments about the need for change for the housing market. Bernanke even went as so far as to address Congress to create a longer term plan to help the housing market recover. Since the Fed is beginning to address problems with housing and more attention is getting drawn to the topic; legislation may move faster in favor of new and established home owners across the country.

Fortunately, the recent changes will benefit Boston buyers looking to keep the record low interest rates. You can search our listings on lofts and properties on our site. And as always, contact us if you have any questions.

The rate on 15-year fixed loans also dropped to a record 3.26 percent. These exceptionally low levels provide an excellent opportunity for consumers with previously high interest rates such as rates between five and eight percent and for first-time buyers looking to buy.

However, home buyers need to capitalize on these favorable circumstances in order to jump-start the housing market. There has never been a better time to buy in Boston. Check out Boston lofts and other buying opportunities in Boston and the surrounding areas on our website. We have several availabilities in great locations.

Originally from Anchorage Alaska, he earned a degree in theater and supported himself as an actor and teacher before finding his way Boston, then to real estate. Having had a difficult relocation to the area himself he has a keen interest in helping others get settled in Boston and maintaining that relationship by making himself available to his clients long after the commission has been handed out.

Boston offers a unique urban lifestyle. To help facilitate that lifestyle for his clients takes a combination of technology and a personal touch. This is the approach Bobby uses to get the best possible results for his clients.

Bobby’s experience ranges from residential rentals and relocations for both tenants and landlords to first time home buyers and couples looking for a bigger home to investors buying income properties and multi-families then going through the development process.

Bobby’s dedication to serving his clients, market knowledge, and tenacity have helped him become a resource to a growing client base in the Boston area. Boston offers a unique urban lifestyle. To help facilitate that lifestyle for his clients takes a combination of technology and a personal touch. This is the approach Bobby uses to get the best possible results for his clients.
