If you or anybody else is interested in purchasing this property, you should submit a sealed bid by December 15th 2009. The owner of the property will review all offers and will most likely negotiate with the best offer. Unlike an auction where you bid when the other buyers are present and the higher bidder takes it all, in this case, the owner does not have to accept any offers. This is the way buildings and estates are being sold in Boston. For example, in the recent sale of 45-47 Commonwealth Ave, the seller's starting bid was $7.7M, he received 13 offers and sold the property for $9.25M. The price range is a recommendation only.
