285 Columbus features stylish lofts in the Back Bay

The New York-style lofts currently under construction in the old Red Cross building on Columbus Avenue will feature European-influenced design nestled between the trendiest streets in Boston, Newbury and Tremont. The Boston Residential Group LLC is developing 285 Columbus as a mixed-used project scheduled for completion in spring 2008. The company also recently developed 360 Newbury, a boutique loft building comprising of 54 high-end units and retail space. All but one penthouse at 360 Newbury has sold.

Prices at 285 Columbus will range from $500,000 to $1,800,000, though more than a dozen of the 63 units are already under-agreement. Units in the concierge building will have garage parking rights at the 131 Dartmouth Street Garage. The first floor will feature a 10,000-square-foot restaurant. Steps from the Back Bay MBTA station, many units will feature high-end appliances such as Sub-Zero refrigerators, Wolf electric cooktops and Bosch dishwashers. The building also features a 1,200-sqaure-foot common roof deck with hook-ups for gas, electric and water service.
